Parklen is a five year old boy with a big problem. He was born with an autoimmune disease that has affected every day of his short life. He has spent his entire life in and out of the hospital with countless surgeries, procedures and treatments. After his most recent flare up it became apparent that Parklen’s time is running out. The doctors have decided that his only hope is to receive a bone marrow transplant. A disease exactly like his has never been documented before so the exact outcome of the upcoming transplant is unsure. The fact is, there are no other options. If Parklen were to have another flare up, his organs would be too damaged for treatment. Parklen, his mom and his little sister will be moving to Denver in October to start the medical process, while his dad and brother will remain home for school! Parklen has a love of all things "super" finding joy especially in Superman and Batman. The proceeds from this super race will benefit him and his family as they embark upon this new journey. With a little help and a whole lot of faith, Parklen and his family will fight this battle heroically.
